Feeling Cut Off? We Offer Spiritual Icebreakers to Get You into the Community

Social isolation has grown rapidly in the last 25 years. This pattern leaves many people with no one to share their joys or sorrows. We believe that God designed the church community with this problem in mind.

The church was never supposed to be a place where people just came and collected extra sleep for their busy week! The church was intended to be a safe place where people could be transparent with each other and share their struggles - without fear of being rejected or maligned… to share in the Fellowship of the Believers. (Acts 2:42-43).

We also know that there is power in spiritual community. The Bible says where there is unity, God commands his blessing (Psalm 133). By coming together in unity, we believe something dynamic happens in the spirit realm that can transform us.

We Want You, Warts and All

In case you are wondering, we don’t claim to be perfect in any way! We all have warts, and we know that being real about our weaknesses will not only foster a sense of trust, but may help us overcome those weaknesses. We believe that living a “masked” life is not truly living.

At Liberty, we understand that some people are naturally open and gregarious, while others are more private and shy by nature. You have our commitment that we will offer you opportunities to engage in our community, but we won’t force them upon you.

If you choose to only be a part of the Sunday morning experience, we welcome you - and hope that some day you may want to engage in our spiritual community in other ways.
