Group Trips, Games and Get-Togethers for All Ages and Occasions

We all know about working hard to keep ourselves and our families going… but what about fun? In designing a fun church community, we decided to schedule regular events to make it easier for you to fit fun into your life.

Here’s just a sampling of what we’ve done at Liberty in the Fun Department in the past, and what you can expect to see more of!

• Movie Nights: Group trips to see Indiana Jones and other blockbusters (You’re on own to pay - but it’s fun to be together as a group and make new friends.)
• Spiritual icebreakers: our term for get-to-know-you social events
• Easter church games: Celebrate the most important day of Jesus’ life on Easter Monday.
• Friday Night Live - a weekly get-together to entertain our toughest crowd: teenagers!
• Festival Visits: For example, we visited the Luminato Festival in Toronto
• Music nights with local artists
• Art viewings
• Church games for younger children

God Takes Pleasure in our Pleasures

What do these kind of fun events have to do with God, you may be wondering…? We believe that God is fun, that He takes pleasure in our pleasure.

At Liberty, we believe in a holistic gospel that does not separate the sacred from the secular… which means you can worship God as well in a movie theatre as you can at a Sunday morning worship experience.

We also believe that when Christians don’t have fun, they become culturally irrelevant and difficult for non-religious people to engage with. We want to ensure that we stay connected to today’s culture so we can develop world-class leaders who will influence that culture.

We also know that having fun is a wonderful way to build friendships and make lasting memories!

So whether you are single or married, new to our church or to any church or a long-timer at Liberty, our fun events are a great way for you to our community.
